Disc Golf Course

This 9-basket course is just east of Fort Sidney Road near the soccer fields (and Western Nebraska Community College). Disc Golf is fun for the entire family for the minimal cost of a disc. All that is needed to play are discs (Frisbees) and a little skill. Use of the course is free and open to the public. It is an environmentally, family, and economically friendly game.

This 18-hole championship-caliber municipal golf course plays through beautiful, yet rugged terrain. The new clubhouse also houses the Hillside Grill, which is open to the public.

Cheyenne County Community Center

The shining star for the area is the Cheyenne County Community Center. At the “Center” sports-minded individuals will find an outlet for many interests: basketball, volleyball, racquetball, handball, wallyball, weight lifting, cardiovascular exercise and indoor walking track. Senior activities include card games, dances, potluck dinners and stretch classes. The Center also has meeting rooms for social events and youth functions.

As a new addition to the community of Sidney, the trail winds through the community with views of the golf course, bluffs and pleasant residential areas.  The trail extends from the west edge of town by the fairgrounds through Legion Park to the east edge of town past the new Elks soccer fields  and Western Nebraska Community College.  Plans are now being made to extend the trail from the College to Interstate 80.
